Who can use the Foodshelf?

Anyone and everyone. We do not ask names or financial information. We DO ask how many you are feeding in your household so we can be sure you get enough food and we do ask for your zip code for reporting purposes only.
How often can you come?

You are welcome to come to the Foodshelf any time we are open. We never close, even on snow days and holidays. But remember that the Foodshelf is supplemental and should not be your primary source for food.

First time to the Foodshelf?

We have volunteers on hand to help you shop for your family. Please bring your own shopping bags. One person from a household shops for the household. The Foodshelf space is small, so we ask children to stay in the waiting area while a parent shops.
Are you on 3Squares?

We encourage anyone who is qualified to get the extra help, BUT we know it is often not enough. Let the Foodshelf help fill that gap.

The Putney Foodshelf is heavily dependent on volunteers and donations; both are always welcome. If you would like to help, please visit the Foodshelf during open hours, or email the Putney Foodshelf Coordinator at
putneyfoodshelf@gmail.com or call the Foodshelf at 802-387-8551 and leave a message. Phone messages are checked twice a week. For more information about the Putney Foodshelf, visit our website: www.putneyfoodshelf.org.
