Each class will focus on conscious breath work and learning to move in our bodies with patience and compassion. Our flow of movement can also help increase flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus, while getting your heart rate up.You will leave feeling connected to yourself, refreshed, and energized.
Instructor Marisa Lazarus went to her first yoga class in 2010 and has been hooked ever since. She realized that yoga made her feel physically good, doing things she wouldn’t have imagined she could do during practice, but also helped her mentally and spiritually, on and off the mat. Marisa’s yoga teacher training deepened her personal practice while also educating her about how to share yoga with others. She is dedicated to sharing this practice with both kids and adults. Marisa finds great joy in guiding people to understand the power of breath-movement connection and in revealing the capabilities of their bodies.
Classes will take place at Putney Community Cares on Thursday afternoons (time TBD). This will be a drop-in class and will begin in October. Cost: $10/class for drop-in
